https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/710226-avox-hold/r/zycerak this is one of those tracks that you can definitely tell is possible by looking at it, but there's a few hard parts that screw you up every time. the fact that zycerak completed this without really slowing down at all shows his prowess in cutting and completing autos, so shoutouts to him.

http://frhd.co/t/680661-kowareta/r/brendanmagill brendan's first feature. we decided that his efforts warranted a feature, and that this is one of his best ghosts. it's definitely beatable (as evidenced by the deaths), but because of the length of the track and the short duration of the deaths we decided to overlook them. so for the time being, congrats to brendan. hopefully this will motivate you to continue improving and getting more features.

with that, Zycerak becomes the fourth player to earn the legendary ghoster medal! congrats! each of the "kings" of a ghosting category (anonyymi w fast ghosts, sannin w vehicle/heli ghosts, mr..a w trick ghosts, and zycerak w autocuts) have now earned legendary ghoster medals. that's pretty cool if you ask me.
one other minor announcement: vegetables discovered a cut on bowloffire's campaign track (https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/51092) that cuts off a significant part of the track. we didn't think his ghost was good enough to feature, and foxgamingtm, the only other person to pull off the cut afaik, had their ghost break. we're challenging the community to try and get a good ghost using the cut. if you do it, you'll most likely be rewarded w a feature. if this announcement is successful, maybe we'll continue this by adding a challenge to the end of each update. i've got a few tracks i'd love to see people get good ghosts on!

short answer because it's a fast ghost (in that it's not a trick ghost, vehicle ghost, or autocut). since it's no longer the fastest ghost on the track, it can't be a feature. we could look into making a new category for features like this, but there hasn't been many other cases that would justify it.
long answer: if there's an optimal route on a track, if you're trying to make a fat ghost there's no reason you shouldn't use that route. that means that if a faster route is discovered via a cut or just alternate routing, the old route becomes obsolete. since we're really only looking at the ghost that collects all the stars the fastest, not using the most optimal route puts you at a massive disadvantage. in a situation like this one, even considering the deaths, the difficulty of the skeleton sea cut and the amount of time it cuts makes the ghost still featurable. your ghost, while really good, doesn't get to the star the fastest and as such isn't a perfect ghost.
on top of that, if we begin featuring multiple ghosts on the same track that take different routes, we might end up down a slippery slope. an extreme example would be taking 2 separate routes on magnum opus. you'll definitely complete the track with a different time on both runs because all 6 routes take a different amount of time to return to the start. despite one ghost being faster by likely 10-20 seconds, does that still mean both ghosts are featurable? my answer would be no, though in the specific case of magnum opus it could be looked into. same with skeleton sea. i guess for now we'll just say that we'll consider it, but idk
