Ok, I think the issue is that the FreeRiderHD webside where you play the game doesn't support mobile devices (ex. phone, tablet).
Mobile devices use the app, I think.
The site DOES support PC's.
I think a solution to your problem is that you could use the on-screen keyboard. Maybe that works.

 

It does though. I play on my iPad all the time

The on screen keyboard also doesnt have the arrow keys, hence its not possible. But if the tablet is old, then free rider wont load except for the homescreen

 

Yeah, I THOUGHT something was fishy about me thinking that there were arrow keys on the keyboard.
