    what i dont understand is why eryp and wm thought he could make a fun and challenging trial ...... If you would like to participate, please reply to the thread. However, unlike the wall of fame, everyone who signs up may not be allowed to join. This is because of the high standard set in previous ghosting collabs. If I (and WM) are confident you'll be able to make a difficult, sufficient, and significant addition to the track then I will add you to the list and send you the code. If not, better luck next time!

    well you're misremembering
    admittedly i only decided to gatekeep this after icttd added his part. that's why his part is still there. i hate using "gatekeep" in this context, but that's the best way to describe what we're doing. i've told other people why i decided to not allow them to participate; generally it's come down to lack of experience. everyone on the list has been around for years and i'm confident they can make something good. this isn't to say that people not on the list i don't believe can make something good, the list is moreso a reward for people who've been here a while. i'd like more people to be on the list (if i was going by ability, many more would be), but at that point the track would be impossibly large. even now with this many people participating it's gonna take a full day to ghost, and i really doubt a ghost will be possible to get. it wouldnt be fair for me to gauge people's skill and keep them out for arbitrary reasons like that, so i decided to go on time playing the game and time making ghosting tracks. i can understand why people would be frustrated w me for not being on the list, but know i wish i could include everyone on the track.

    Ive been playing for 5 years. Ive made trials a lot. They just dont look pretty. I just prefer making autos

    I understand why you're gatekeeping, and I very much agree with your reasoning to do so. I think what's causing so much frustration is you did not say you would be doing so from the beginning, which I think is where you went wrong.
