List Official Featured Ghosts

Hey guys, what's up? After a while, the ghosts have been reviewed, so let's go:

Zycerak
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/676071-ghost-desert-by-nasrani/r/zycerak This is a super hard track to beat. It has a major obstacle where you managed to do well, but we don't think that the rest of it is good enough for a featured, though.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/678243-idyllic/r/Zycerak Definitely a legendary cut, but it's way too short. No feature.

Sidewalk
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/217945-brush/r/sidewalk Sannin beat this one and his ghost isn't necessarily the best. There are some clear optimizations that could be done on this one, especially on the way back. Maybe without the death and with some small improvements Sannin could get it. Not there yet, but it's a good ghost.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/259615-mt-synapse/r/sidewalk Despite being consistent, fast paced and on a very hard track with an awesome leaderboard, it isn't the best we could have. And it's evident because of the fact that Sidewalk only lead for about 3 or 4 seconds in the whole ghost racing against the top 10. Multiple times he isn't even on the top 3 and he definitely passes Sannin only at the 47 seconds mark. Great ghost. Almost there, but no feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/400538-nfrl-season-1-match-1/r/sidewalk Competition on this one is ridiculous because it was for a contest, but he only lead at the very end. Ninjasparkour did 90% of the track better. The ghost is great but it didn't stood out THAT much due to the competitiveness of the ghosters. Solid job, hard to beat. But it's a very short track, and in that case you have to really crush it and show something different from the beginning to the end. Although it has a great consistency, if someone did like 90% of the ghost in a short track better, your ghost probably isn't the fastest possible ghost on that track. Almost there as well, though.

Sannin
http://frhd.co/t/298651-hard-trail-desc/r/sannin Would be good enough cut if he hadn't messed up at the beginning. Solid ghost, but with a "mistake" we can't make and exception with the length. Nice job, though.

All of these are no's. the first one is the closest, but it has too many mistakes to be considered for a vehicle feature. Second one is not that bad either, but it's not there yet. Some of them are too short. Keep going, though.

spruce
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/1017-forsaken-forest/r/dumptruck - Really good, fast and it has an insane competition. Classic track and all. But we don't think that it's amazing enough to make another exception. It's not even 15 seconds long again. But for the ghost itself, it's awesome. No feature.

There's a few spots where people like Sidewalk, HyperCube of JeePark got in front of him, since he made a couple of mistakes. The ending was very good, but overall it feels like another "almost there". Could be improved a bit.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/1092-ssce/r/spruce - This is a weird ghost in a weird track to race. The track is inconsistent, and despite this ghost being considerably ahead of Anonyymi, Backtwice and me, it's still somehow inconsistent. That's an awesome time, but since the track is kinda short and too inconsistent we decided to not feature this ghost.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/63201-witchmist/r/spruce - Another popular track with a nice leaderboard. It's a good ghost, not sure if it's great. We considered it for a while but didn't have a strong enough opinion on featuring it, so we didn't.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/153182-jotunheim/r/aiice - Another fast one, kinda short in a popular track with a nice leaderboard. Sidewalk matched him through the whole track, though. For a track this short, he didn't have a clear lead for a long time, so no feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/158583-dragons-den-ntbf/r/spruce - Awesome ghost, but too short. No feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/676630-rapunzel/r/spruce - Really dope, but it has a big mistake by both spruce and RedOrBlue. Also, RedOrBlue could have had the win on this one if he didn't made a few mistakes. Close call, but no feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/173968-haven-ft-cityshep/r/aiice - Another really popular track, nice leaderboard. We were considering feature this ghost, but Anonyymi did a way better one.

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/158140-wild-one-express/r/anonyymi - Although it's the fastest time, this ghost is being featured as a trickghost. It's not an easy track to complete and the man just went in doing those flips. Disrespectful, lol. (FEATURED)
PS: Good job hitting 50 features and with finally a ghost from a different category!

Chaos-Fallen

He didn't have the lead most of the time. Maybe try this again, improve a few spots and it can have a shot. Epic leaderboard, though.

Same issues as the ghost above.

PS: Also, updated the features stolen by Ultraviolet and Anonyymi from Sannin. Ultraviolet has now 5 features, but since he is on a "risky zone" for the medals, we will wait a little bit before giving him the Recognized Ghoster Award, maybe for a response from Sannin or someone else. That's probably the way we will proceed with players that are on the edge of receiving or improving a medal. Wait a little bit, and if it stays that way, talk to mR..A for the award.

PS2: Also, will update Anonyymi's feature on Oriental Expedition, stolen from Resurrect. Insane job on this one!

Also, congrats Ultraviolet, spruce, Anonyymi, mR..A and Eryp on the features.

 

Yeah, that's a really good question. I'll talk to mR..A and Eryp and we will see what we think it's the best (maybe a poll? Haha). But if we don't consider the changes, Sidewalk and Backtwice should have Pro Ghoster medals, since they had like 15 features once. But yeah, of course we could do it only starting now, since the information would be hard to get, but maybe the best is if only the current ghosts would count.

Maybe we could do a medal for keeping like a feature for a year or something like that one day, and it's like permanent. But with the medals we have now, it might be the best that it counts only the current ones, with maybe a week of delay on the upgrades and downgrades. But maybe in the future we can make all-time medals (considering the players peak at ghosting) and current medals for ghosting (considering the current state of the player with the features).

 

Interesting. Really cool ideas. Let's see what we can do. Talking with mR..A about this.
