List Official Featured Ghosts

We are finally finishing reviewing the ghosts today. Update on this and a few other things soon.

 

hey all, we're here to address both new features and some recent changes to the team.
first, the good. we have 4 new features to announce:

and then a change to an already featured ghost: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/3982-3d-bathroom/r/backtwice has been featured, though with an asterisk. this is because crazywizard_13 had the best ghost on the track before he deleted his account.
obviously, it goes without saying that crazy will be missed by the free rider community. his impacts on both the ghosting community and free rider as a whole were in all regards immeasurable: he was the first (and, so far, only) person to clear pro's climb 2 by totoca, the second to clear thepenguins movie cce, as well as having made one of the best ghosts on the database in his feature on 3d bathroom. on top of this, he was a featured ghost moderator for a while, and with totoca helped keep the list active during some of the least active months on the db.
all of his ghosts being removed from the db is a huge loss on its own, but with crazy leaving we also lost a unique personality in the community. i think it's fair to say that most of his posts had a certain kind of flair to them, and it really stinks we'll get no more of them. on top of that, crazy was a super cool guy to talk w; he clearly liked to be participating in the community when his real life, at least based on a super surface-level analysis, was a mess. he left the community likely because of that mess, and totoca and i sincerely hope he's better able to slay whatever demons he's been dealing with now. if leaving the community is better for him, we on the featured ghost team both respect and admire his decision to follow through with that in whatever way is easiest for him.
so with all that said, crazy's username has been moved to the "past moderator" part of the thread, and it'll be just totoca and i moderating the suggestions/thread for the foreseeable future.

Anonyymi beat Unghosted on Pathway II, so it's updated. (Shoutout to Sannin for beating it, too. Cool ending)

Hi guys, new really small update. Some time ago a guy named RedOpBlue (not RedOrBlue) tied with RedOrBlue's ghost on 100 Jumps. We thought it was a hacker at first, due to the ghost of the same length and the similar name and helmet, but after watch the ghost a couple times and seeing that this guy has decent ghosts to back him up, we considered it legit. We thought about unfeaturing both, but since they are 2 great ghosts ,we will also feature RedOpBlue's ghost, just like that case with Anonyymi and Chaos-Fallen tying in 1st place on PBS Off-road Challenge. RedOrBlue did a better run, but RedOpBlue used a shortcut (one that is not that easy to get) at end and got an impressive tie.

We did review Glittering Caverns, we kinda forgot to put a feedback for the ones we didn't feature. Will do it later. If I can remember correctly this ghost was 2 yes and a no from us, and we always need to be unanimous about the decision. Talking again with Eryp. Feedback soon.

http://frhd.co/t/548098-glittering-caverns/r/sannin passed review for a feature this time. one mistake towards the end of the ghost but it can be overlooked due to the quality of the rest of the ghost
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/319500-hi/r/redorblue we found this one ourselves, and it's ridiculous enough for a feature

feedback for other suggestions:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/102719-pathway-i/r/chaos-fallen sannin tied this one, and we think there's a bit of room for improvement in some parts of the ghost. very close to a feature, so if someone were to come out clearly ahead of others on this track we'd look into it again
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/222818-alien-exudation/r/ei8ht we reviewed this one earlier on our own and came to the conclusion that it's close to being a feature but ultimately isn't. the consistency of the ghost is its most redeeming quality; if it were faster it would be a more likely feature.
we're still reviewing some suggestions as well
