i reckon a tool that highlights areas and switches them from black lines to grey background lines, or vice versa.

 

It was actually kind of a mod and a game, as it was one of the many slightly edited clones of free rider back in the day.
Gone now, but it used to be called freerider2.org, the internet archive might have a few snapshots of it.

 

yeah, that's what i remember playing. it was one of those flash downloads of the game i got off the internet

 

like a big brush, to cover the map in detail lines so it'll be esier to make night based track?

 

a group editor with an invite system so more than one person can be working on a track at once instead of passing the code back and forth in a conversation.
being able to have a second default setting in the editor to set a grey background and have white lines be detail.
being able to drag boosts further in a direction to make it a stronger boost.
a maximum cap on how long slow motion lasts to avoid super obnoxious jumps.
ranked leaderboard instead of most played leaderboard:
- get points for ranking world wide on tracks. 10th = 1 point, 9th = 2 points etc.
- points only last for as long as you are ranked in that position.
- points are multiplied for track being on hot, trending and play amount. trending giving the highest multiplier, then hot, then high played tracks. tracks in new don't award ranked points.
add a ghosting option so that you can view ghosts without deaths so it's a smooth and looks cool.
