Right now I am in band class and these dumb kids keep on banging the bass drum when we have a sub and are not allowed to play. The worst part is that I'm in percussion and don't like when other people touch the instruments.

 

What level are you at?

 

The stuff we do in band is very easy because the brass section is hot trash and can´t even play ¨skip it lou¨ even though we spent a whole day on it. I like to play marimba a lot and hate drums because it is so easy at the level of music we play. I really think that my band class holds me back.

Yeah, that is what I meant.
I can really relate to those people who deliberately mess up in interactive lessons such as music. They think it's funny, but it can quickly take up almost all the time in the lesson, leaving next to nothing learnt in the long run. Really frustrating for those who actually take an interest in the subject.

 

Those kids are like the kids who talk about having s*x in the bathroom while other people are around, and they are always trying to play mobamba but always on the wrong notes. They are dumb. I actually heard them talking about having s*x while I was in the bathroom.

 

do you play in band

 

I used to, but I quit a few years back. The trumpet was the main instrument I played, and I got pretty advanced. It was primarily a marching and concert band, and I liked the concert side of it way better. That said, I still won a few contests while marching, but I much preferred the other aspect where you could team up with more advanced willing players and perform for plays, masses in church, and other special occasions where we were rented by somebody to play some pieces for the night.
