    1. there's literally no point in answering this question any more so skip
    2. I'm back after like almost 2 years (?) and a lot has changed in terms of people and the game as well. Right now, I feel like a new player. I completely forgot how to ghost. I don't know most people here. Those who were around when I was don't know me well. If I spent more time here and actually contributed to the community, I feel like I would be part of it. TBH, I feel somewhat left out, but I know that was bound to happen and I'm not sad at all. Even before I left, I didn't contribute much to the community except on the forum. I was a decent ghoster, average track-maker, and that's it. Because I didn't have much skill, I felt like socializing and talking on the forums would be the only way to really get involved. I thought I was pretty funny, a lot of other people did too, but I didn't feel like I was actually adding anything useful. I will say that its surprising how close you can get with people even if its an online bike-riding forum. I did however, get close to some people. One thing I will really remember from this game is talking on tinychat (bhrcafe) with spruce and reborn, along with a lot of others. I edited spruce's college essay for FRHD coins.

tl;dr I'm useless in terms of the game itself but i thought i was pretty funny and got closer to some people, which was memorable

    3. i don't uwu
    4. everybody here is stopid loser

srs, This game is truly an outlet for many people and I won't forget it. This game involves the community a lot more than you think. I'm sure you wouldn't like playing this game if it was you riding your own tracks. In terms of setting people apart...muscle memory from ghosting? Artistic skills? IRL, I wasted a lot of time in school playing free rider but I don't regret it that much. I just looked really addicted.

I don't doubt you. I'm more looking for terms that FRHD players use that MOST other people would not understand. Thanks for your input though.

Nicholas-Opuni you said, "I'll do me and will never be talking to you guys for the rest of my entire complete life." If you won't stop spamming, please abide by this statement and never talk to us again. I already asked you to stop, but you didn't. If you have an appropriate response to my survey, you are more than welcome to share it. Otherwise, don't reply to this thread anymore.

    1. trickghost etc, can't think of any not said

    2. yes, a few friendly messages with some old mates (not really, you're all randoms) and a crackin' time over our best ghosts ought to cheer ye up. I'm not very social in real life and I'd rather not be around people but online is good.

    3. ah you see back in the day when I was in school and they had internet (wow) i discovered a computer and flash games heh, well free rider 2 just appealed to me and its ranking system. so i played it a bit and was a better player than the people around me (not that they were playing fr2, probably playing coolmathsgames or some rubbish) . it was fun and so i played a fair amount and published some pretty special tracks (rate 10 if justin beiber is gay) that'd be sure to give you a wide one across your face. then i found other games blah blah but i came back to free rider when i heard there was a new one (not fr3 you idiot). then i left to continue with the "proper" games.I tell ya they were top stuff, but quite toxic. i rebut, however, frhd is a proper game for proper blokes. now there may be a small percentage of little whiners round here but i believe it's worth it at the end of the day. a nice community indeed and quite relaxing sometimes, a game i just enjoy.

    4. "Free Rider has long been used in classrooms all over the world as a learning tool. Teachers have found that creating tracks has a strong link to programming logic, develops persistence, and provides a fun environment to put basic science principles to use." well said guys. i reckon that's how we're different. the first 2 underlined. not many people can play a 2d, black and white game for much longer than a glass of water on a hot summer's day.

P.S idk if you're still here Soggy, but it was me who stole your account back in 2008-9 I'm sorry i didn't know what 'register' meant :(
    thanks

    1. What terms do only FRHD players use (such as “ghost,” “spacebarring,” … )?
    zyceraklobster
    2. Do you feel like you are part of the FRHD community? Why or why not?
i guess so. i haven't really played any other games that i could compare being part of a community to
    3. Why do you play FRHD?
it's always really cool to see what kind of track people are cooking up. i find it interesting that you can make so much with so relatively little
    4. Is there anything that sets FRHD players apart from those who don't play FRHD (besides that they play this game)?
we have rapperjack, in our hearts and minds. yes i know i am not funny

    1. sharkfin/i cat tall the dark 16 (not really terms but are said a lot lol), tc (tinychat), dc (discord), bhr (black hat rider), author (track creator), feat/feet/feat mods (featured track, featured track moderators), ghost/ghoster/ghosting/ghosted/feat ghost/trick ghost/etc, spacebarrer/spacebarring (ghosting technique), non-spacebarrer, EA (elite author), OA (official author)

    2. yes, ive contributed constructive criticism, guides, important threads (ie track making compendium/how to make ride threads), wrote the news, featured tracks, drama, memes, and anything in between

    3. ive made friendships with ppl throughout the years, and frhd is the medium which brings us together, even if nowadays discord is what is used rather than the game/forums. if all my friends dropped off the internet tomorrow, i wouldnt play anymore (no real point in making extravagant tracks other than the recognition and appreciation from other like-minded players, and although self-satisfaction plays a part, it isnt enough. and obv the game is dead anyways lol)

    4. skill and creativity. hand the editor over to an average person, vs the average player, and id bet the latter always has a better track than the former. people here are a lot more creative and talented than they give themselves credit for imo

edit; i see dante saw what thread i was viewing lol ;P
