Very simple question. Should they or should they not be allowed? I recently got the power to hide tracks from the database and so far its been copied tracks and inapropriate tracks I've been hiding. How about generated tracks? I do think they should be removed but how about you guys?
You see people like PylonDude with descriptions like 'I generate tracks because I can't draw'. Isn't drawing what FRHD is all about? That's like running for president and rigging the poles 'because I can't run for president properly.'
I honestly think they should just to see what could come out of this. Who knows what kinds of possibilities could be created using generated tracks.
i think if someones genned their own art or makes stuff like zeke15, they should be fine; everything else should get hidden unless its got a good reason not to be
it depends, i think autogen art is pretty dumb and shouldn't be allowed most of the time but there are other kinds of track generation which are cool and worth keeping
it depends what type of gen, like, if its pic to track gen, probably because people spend their time making a great or decent track while others are generating the same track but 'better' and getting high ratings, if its a gray design or something like that, maybe give it a chance but if generated tracks are seen on trending or hot, i do not think they should be allowed, the only ones that should be allowed are the ones that had thought put into them, a specific design that is unique and deserves more attention, anyway i have to go, bye!
It depends entirely on the context of the generated track in my opinion. I have generated a ton of tracks in the past, some published, some just for my own experimentation. I think using an image to track generator to convert some random image from the web isn't okay. I also think that unless you can make your own generator, you shouldn't be genning tracks. Just like it is wrong to copy someone else's track, using their generator is essentially the same as copying. For example, I published a track called Scioto that used an image to track generator, however I took the photo, edited it, and treated it as my won artwork. I also spent hours coding the generator itself. In publishing that track, every ounce of work was still my own so I think it is okay. Using another persons generator, another person's image, or outright spamming tracks, that is not okay. I've been around long enough to see where generators can get out of hand and I try to avoid that. I think the focus shouldn't be about stopping generators, it should be about stopping the abuse of them.
Image generation = lewds!! Why would u not want it, also i don’t think it would take hours to code a gen, I made my first working version in about 15 mins
1. No one calls them lewds, and 2. That would fall under the whole abuse thing I was talking about. If I wanted to stare at tiddies, then I wouldn't be doing it in FreeRider
