When will the fill tool update come out?

During a thread, Char mentioned that he would add a fill tool update. I know he has all the campaign stuff to work on, so no pressure.

 

Yeh I came up with the idea but I cant wait for campaigns so lets let the campaigns come out first

 

NO FILL TOOL! IT Would make spamming tracks much easier! Just look at FR2.org! Aweful color! That is exactly what a fill tool would do!

 

How would that be bad (I think the update will only fill the traditional physics line and scenery line not random colors)

 

not colors. Did u even go to the website? Anyways we dont want free rider looking like that, just in a black and white version. Do you?

 

It will just be black and white.
There will be many more good tracks since authors will take less time to do the art.

C'mon guys, we've bene through spam before. The fill tool could be super useful if you actually think about it.

 

To be honest it sounds useful only for small fill portions that still require time. Like shaidng behind a forest or cave lighting.

It's a bad idea because just filling in stuff takes no skill and time what so ever, it's too easy and effortless. For art you should have to spend time to make it look good, you should have patience.
And I agree with Max007x ,before this even happens there should be testers (official authors) to see how this works out. It doesn't seem like a good idea and we've done fine without it.

 

Fill tool = more better tracks faster + better art.

 

I would say not every thing but he is an amazing author... But what I think doesn't count does it????

Well it does in a negative way, the dude is so rock hard from all the shaft and shift working the devs and freez gave him. It's like TM all over again.
