Recent outbreak of GameSettings abuse

It has come to my attention that the knowledge of how to use the GameSettings (or whatever their official title is, if any) recently has started to become widespread. I know that and few people, such as myself, have known about it for a long time just by poking around. But in the past few weeks I have seen quite a lot of people abusing it, as was not intended by the developers. It was merely a tool meant for testing purposes, and meant for creating the game. I do not know how much I can do about it, other than make this PSA:

If you know how to use the GameSettings (or whatever their official title is, if any), please try your best to keep the information secret. If it becomes common knowledge, the whole idea behind the leaderboards and ghosting and physics of the game would be undermined, rendering a large portion of the game ruined.

If there is a way for the developers to make the console limited to just themselves, that would be the best fix for this problem. Other that that though, just try to to spread the knowledge around.

Well, other than the ghosting and leaderboard issue, this is harmless. I've been messing around with this, and unless you're a pro hacker, and that means gaining unauthorised access, I don't think you can do much damage to the game's physics and so forth. While in Inspection mode all changes are temporary, and will not affect the database, but only your side of the game, AS FAR AS I KNOW. If you can edit the database, then this is much more serious than I thought.

pretty sure that ghosting competition (in ur signature) is ruined now cuz of all these hackers...

 

he probably won't tell if he just used inspect element to change the amount. which he probably did lol

The only one who 'hacked' is krypton I'm pretty sure
