Pixel art contest (prizes!)

I am holding a Pixel art contest! the rules are simple:
1. at least one sprite
2. put "im in" in this thread
3. dont autogen (i can tell)
4. dont do something stupid as a sprite
5. Due by April 20th, 2018
6. Must say you are in "dneale's pixel art contest" in track description
7. Must enter before April 5th

Some things you are allowed to do are:
1. work with ONE other person (the prize will be split if you win)
2. You dont need long track, focus more on the sprite(s)

Here are the prizes:
1st place: 5,000
2nd place: 2,500
3rd place: 1,000
Honorable Mentions: 100

oh and when your done, mention in this thread and put a link to your track

also what would be better, bigger sprites or more sprites?

 

Do you need to come up with your own pixel art, or are you allowed to search stuff up online and copy it down?

u can copy, just dont autogen

 

If I fill in the squares, will you count that as autogenning? Especially if I have done a real big sprite?

 

Yeah, but I want to do solid black.

 

Will it look like autogen if I do them the quickest way, i.e. do the shading lines left to right going down, horizontally? I'm seriously worried that my work will just go to waste otherwise if it's rejected. The sprite I'm working on is bigger than all your's combined : /
