I’m a drummer, got these sick Freedrum devices that you strap on to your sticks, hook up to your phone via Bluetooth. You calibrate em, and play the air in front of you like it’s a virtual drum kit, your phone playing the correct drum sound according to where you play.

Hello, I want to say a few things about this community. First of all I need to thank every single one of you for making frhd what it is today (as overused as that phrase is becoming in these end days, it really is true!). I came across this game when I was 11 or 12, fortunately for me I was able to experience the far superior site of freerider2.org and talked to some cool people there. Fr2.me and canvas rider were also alright I suppose (although both were later, if briefly, topped by sketchrider), and frhd has been pretty good. I have learnt a lot of things from these games - unfortunately not how to draw but whatever - and met some neat people. Sadly, this community has been getting pretty inactive recently, and while I realise that it might be a little pre-emptive to announce the metaphorical death of this game, I'm doing it anyway. On 29th of December 2017 AD at 2:35 GMT is the exact moment that freerider officially died forever. Have a happy freerider death day , hope you enjoyed this daily dose of cringe.

I'm a drummer as well! I got some new ProMark sticks and a Vic Firth HeavyHitter Pad. I'd recommend grabbing a practice pad and sticks because practicing even the most easy and simple stuff such as basic patterns and rudiments can really bring you a long way

 

Got a slick new camera and some gear to go with. I payed for must of it, but family pitched in some as my gift:
- Nikon d5500
- nikkor 55-200mm f3.8 lens
- nikkor fixed 50mm f1.8 lens
- tamron 18-270mm f3.5 lens
- set of polorizing and uv filters
- waterproof camera bag (to shoot while canoeing and in/out of boats)
- 12 inch flexible tripod

Been shooting a couple times with it and im in love. Its my first dslr and I'm psyched. Got lucky because I got all that gear gently used or new for $800. And the camera was sold as used but had less than 200 pictures on the shutter count, so like brand new. It was a hell of a deal. I still wanna get a fixed 35mm lens for portraits cause the 50 isn't always great in smaller areas

Your about 2 months late on this but im glad we finally called it out. This game deserves a time of death and a proper burial

 

people have been posting posts like these since the very beginning of this game. the game's not dead, it varies ALOT in popularity seasonally, sometimes even yearly. It really depends on the overall exposure by other game sites, game marketing and advertisement, semesters of school, etc. there's been years where the popularity has been so low the game had basicly been declared dead, just to arise from its coffin during the funeral, filled with more life than ever. (there werent even a proper active forum to share your tracks in for a longer period of time in 08, less than a year after the release of free rider 2).
alot of guys feel like its dead because theres a severe lack of good trackmakers. let me assure you that CR suffered from the same thing for over a year or two before its shutdown. People would declare the game dead so many times over the years its not even funny, just like we experience here.

as an example of the great variation in popularity by seasons/years, this game had less than half the total amount of visitors in july, than it did in october (curve is moving down again since then).
another fun fact is that the forum traffic currently equals only 2,27% of the total site traffic.

I was working on this track a couple months ago but lost all motivation to finish it. A couple days ago I decided that I was going to finish it before 2018 so I did. Please give me constructive criticism so I can improve my tracks and new track ideas so I can make a good new track. Enjoy!
