Horror Contest - Halloween Campaign (has ended)

Intro

Hello it's pssst here and welcome to another contest. Longtime players and users of the game are aware of the various campaigns that didnt come out (Video Games, Trials, Etc), one of those being the Spooky campaign, which was aimed at boosting traffic and interest in Free Rider during the Halloween season. Nothing came of it, but I always found the idea interesting, especially being a Horror buff myself. So I propose an alternative to produce a themed, Halloween campaign, the Horror Contest, where horror films and such will be reimagined and brought to life using Free Rider as a medium.

I know this seems a bit early for this contest, because this contest could just as easily be held in September or October, and it would seem more reasonable to the casual user, but thats not the goal. The goal is to be able to have a group of 10 tracks up for a Halloween campaign starting mid-September, which after a brief conversation Char signed off on and essentially endorsed this contest. For that reason, it will be done early. And I believe this process could set a trend for seasons and campaigns to come.

Rules

The track has to be based around Horror film television/film, video games, manga, etc. This could be horror classics like Halloween or Friday the 13th, foreign horror like Ring and The Grudge, or even dark cartoons like Courage the Cowardly Dog and Grim Adventures. However, the show or movie you're doing must be posted here first and cannot be done if someone is doing the same show or movie (sequels however are allowed if distinctly focused on the sequel, rather than the franchise as a whole), because it would be boring if we had 7 Nightmare on Elm Streets and 3 Texas Chainsaws aka everyone doing the same movie.

The deadline for the track is the Sept 1st/2nd midnight EST. Entries may be considered for the ultimate goal of being in the Halloween campaign the week after, if they meet a uncertain timeframe as far as development, but any submissions not in by that date and time will not be considered as far as the contest. Unlike contests before this where the contest was strictly competitive and constructive criticism/insight was not given until the end of the round/contest, it is recommended in this one that you share your work with others, such as a fellow competitor, someone else or even I will if I have the time. And on that note, multiple entries are allowed, I understand its hard to be motivated on a single track for a long while, in this case, almost 2 months. So I propose possibly making a preview or two of the finished product or bouncing around a few ideas with feedback straight from the database community, because in the end the campaign will be made for them.

Prize

A prize will only go out to the winner, I will buy and ship a T Shirt and DVD/Blu-Ray (i.a.) of the show/film they chose to them. In example, if someone chose the Exorcist:

I'm fine with those willing to donate, but I wont take responsibility for those.

Notes

~The campaign is meant to appeal to the normal user so don't make anything too difficult
~Obviously, old tracks are not allowed, but I would like them to be posted here as reference for how its been done before
~Don't think of it as being too hard, because all horror movies start with a setting, once you put the setting down it'll be easy to add the pieces
~Don't be afraid to ask for ideas/advice
~Don't let this game occupy too much of your time, if you need to take a break, its always something you can come back to
~I dont expect anyone to be working on the same track for 2 months, if you think its finished in a couple weeks, a few days, don't be afraid to post it, and if based on feedback you feel like you should add more, do that. Or have a new completely different idea, do that.
~This thread might go dead in a week or two. I'll try my best to keep discussion, motivation and inspiration afloat in and outside this thread.

Sounds like a great contest but I don't really watch much movies at all, so I wouldn't be able to pick one and draw based off of it.

I made a change and opened it up to all media. So if you'd be interested in making an entry based on a Horror video game or book/comic. That'd work too.

 

If you dont feel comfortable giving out the information, you can receive an equivalent to the prize in whatever form you choose.

aw yeah, this is gonna get spicy. im totally in, imma try to juggle this with the accuracy contest, so dang this is gonna be hard but fun. couple things:
i dont want prizes, that means giving away my address, or any other personal info. so we can work something out when i win
my movie/show is undecided, gonna look through that today, prob gonna have one picked out tonite or somethin like that
and i have to say, really well thpught out contest. prizes are nice, and the whole horror campaign sounds sweet. props to you man
