im working on an FFA R2 entry and im in need of a good sun. this is absolute trash sun. i need some help, and anything is appreciated. should i scrap the whole thing? should i scrap the rays? i dunno
Suns are always over-done, even in real life drawings. There are two ways to do it: - You draw the shape of the sun, a circle, and try to add some shading to it, but do no add rays, and you use shadows on other objects to provide the effect of lighting - or you choose not to add the physical sun itself and you draw rays and shadows to imply that it is there. If you draw a large circle with rays coming off of it in straight lines it gives a likeness to an elementary school drawing. Keep in mind that realistically, the sun has an infinite amount of glare so you can't really detail it in any way special. Also, the sun should always be in the furthest background of an image. Meaning you shouldn't have rays crossing in front of a mountain or a tree because the sun is millions of miles behind it theoretically.
I swear to god if you ask who somebody is again I'm going to lose my mind. You act like your an almighty detailer/ important person and the truth is you mean nothing to this thread you just spam. Please stop
That's pretty subjective and it really depends on the style you're going for. For something a bit more cartoony but still heavy with detail mine are nice. MayhemMercenary's are great for a different style. If you wanna go super realistic look at lolz666's stuff. Spruce has a good slew of simple and complex trees (Look at Calvin and Hobbes). Pinn's are also super simple but he makes them work extremely well. It all depends on what you are going for. Just remember not to straight up copy the tree from someone else. Look at a couple to get an idea of what you want to do, then start drawing and see how your own trees develop.
