It doesn't really matter unless your keys stick. Many good ghosters spacebar.

The only thing that I notice is what is called "n-key rollover". Essentially, it is the number of keys that the keyboard can register simultaneously. On my laptop or my chromebook, this is only 2, sometimes 3 keys so ghosting is much harder because it makes spacebarring near impossible, and hitting up, down, and lean more difficult. I also have a Razer Deathstalker Chroma ($80 Keyboard with non-mechanical keys)whihc has 10 key rollover. I ghost way better on it, because I never have an issue with keys registering. n-key rollover is generally higher on gaming keyboards, so that is what you will want to look for. You can probably pick up a cheap one for like less than $40 on Amazon. Make sure it has atleast 5-key rollover and it should make ghosting a little easier in some cases.

Spamming spacebar so everything goes slower meaning you have more time to analyse and adjust making your ghost better

It's not spamming. It's strategic presses.

Sorry for the double post but really the only thing that can a keyboard can help you with when it comes to ghosting is the amount of keys that it registers. Because holding brake, accelerate, and left or right is sometimes necessary with climbing and can be helpful sometimes when ghosting in general. Also registering three keys is necessary when spacebarring, so if your keyboard only registers 2 keys, you're at an extreme disadvantage when it comes to ghosting. I personally just ghost on my chromebook keyboard lol I don't really think a fancy one would help. If your fingers are used to playing on the keyboard that you have, you should be fine. Although if you have those really big and fat keys that might a bit of a problem.

Before I bought a wireless keyboard about one and a half years ago, my laptop's keyboard only registered two keys at the same time
It's a disadvantage, but you do get used to it

I have a Roccat Isku keyboard which uses Macro keys. Apart from the amount of keys registered being important, I bet the Macro keys would come in handy for certain tricks needed in general for tracks. (cough spacebarring cough)

My chromebook and my laptop both only register two keys, while my Razer Deathstalker registers 10 (I never use all 10). I am probably 3-4 times better using my Deathstalker, but it's not like I suck without it. You just have to know your keyboard and know how to use it.

I don't know if anyone will see this, since nobody's been here for a while, but there is a way to register 3 keys on a chromebook.
All you have to do is combine the arrow keys with the WASD keys (both work in free rider).
It's a bit tricky to get used to at first, but I got used to eventually, and it really helped with trials.
    Hope this helps!

Btw, just cause I'm a new member doesn't mean I'm a total noob at this game.
I've known this since game since I was 8 and started with FR3.
