Rider of the Day

I think it would be cool to have a little banner on the site that showed who made the most high scores (based on the top 10 leader-board) that day. What do you think?

 

points or leaderboard ghosts?

 

ghosts, but it could be who gets the most points in that 24 hour time period. Char Eric ?

 

There could be multiple awards!
People who don't strive for points and leaderboard placements should be able to receive daily awards too. Maybe we could have...

- Most points gained in a day
- Most likes gained in a day
- Most subs gained in a day
- Most coins made in a day

 

Most likely that would be the same author for both and that author would probably be the one on top of trending so imo it's a bit pointless

mehhh sounds more grinding and ghost-stealing based than talent based. I like the idea but I feel like the same people will just push the boards on every virtually unplayed easy track on the database and top the board for weeks at a time

 

I hear what your saying, but it would bring more players into ghosting and the whole scene would be more competitive. More tracks will be played instead of just looked at. Whats wrong with people playing tracks more, isn't that what a track is for? To be played instead of just looked at. And who cares if the same people are on the "ghoster of the day" board, it would make others want to play tracks to get better so that someday they could be on the leaderboard.

Nah, its no good. It will just be the same people every time, sad for those never achieveing people

 

and what is wrong with that, they worked hard to get as good as they are, its not their problem that you guys don't take pride in your ghosting and work harder to get better. They should be rewarded for their efforts. The featured ghost thread is not very good because nobody is active enough to feature ghosts, this would be a more systematic way of allowing peoples skills to be shown.

 

Well what im thinking is are there gonna be rewards for the top people?
BC if there is, the people that know what theyre doin, the people who have every hat, will just keep gettin coins

if we make this i would suggest to make the same thing but w/tracks. some active and experienced players (idk joel, shep, and some other dudes) would choose good tracks that need to be higlighted everyday. would be pretty fun and would encourage the players to make quality tracks.

 

Yeah but good tracks are not made everyday. maybe once a week a good track is made.

Who cares what hat you have? I have the clown afro, yet I use the backwards pink hat because I like it more.

 

It's a cool ida, but people who just play tracks on newest all day would get the banner...
