    On a recent thread of mine, Eric pointed out the possibility of a new "Fill Tool" there has been quite some debate over whether it's a good idea or not.
    Now its time for you to decide.
    Please feel free to argue your opinion below. ;)

    I don't really care anymore if it comes on. I can fill stuff really quickly using a method that I came up with. No, it is not the line one where you draw a line, move the cursor down a pixel, and draw another line. It is WAY easier than that, and it probably takes 1/4 of the time, but looks just as good. And no it is not REALLY good scribbling with the cursor.

    All in all, I'm fine with anything. I'd much rather they work on campaigns than this.

    Please tell me what this way is. I'm just about to do a hell of a lot of filling and your method sounds like it would really help!

    Do you have an electronic notepad? One that you plug into the computer with a USB?

    Because of how fast you can scribble on the notepad, it covers up ALL of those little annoying holes. It gives you the same look though as if you did it the "right" way.

    Or we could name it "performance enhancer", "fps increaser" or "quick fill". We have yet to prototype it, but our theory is we will see significant performance gains implementing a fill tool over authors drawing hundreds to thousands of lines to fill in an area. Especially physics lines, can have a negative impact on performance when they come into view.

    We will definitely be listening to you guys, but we had a similar sort of reaction with the curve tool on how it would ruin the game but so far we have seen it turn random scribbles and choppy curves to random scribbles + smooth curves for those less experienced authors. It will be your choice whether you use it or not, existing options will remain.

    Nice! Though you need to raise the coin cost. People are posting so many tracks, and half the ones that are uploaded are impossible :(

    I don't see the problem in a tool that will reduce time doing meaningless stuff that doesn't require any skill. It takes a good author to know where, what and when to shade but it doesn't take a good author to fill in a spot. I think a fill tool would have pretty much no bad side to it honestly

    I think this is not a good idea. It will change the over all look of Free Rider to that awful "FR2.org" look.

    I also noticed that mostly a bunch of inexperienced new people want this. it seems that most all old timers don't like the idea.
