My first game was Diamond. I have since played pretty much every one since and everything went to **** after Soul Silver and Heart Gold

Sun is okay. I prefer alpha sapphire and omega ruby. The graphics and new pokemon are cool, but the story line has become so ****ed up.

The game is really bad. The only thing I like about it is how much they experimented. They tried something new, but it wasn't good. I will always say that your first Pokémon game is your favorite, and that applies to me. My first was Silver, and while I do like the other games, Sun/Moon is just terrible.

I preferred platinum, but all three Sinnoh games were amazing

i think that if you play any game before watching the series, the game will automaticly be perceived as **** because youre not familiar with the gen.
i havent played sun/moon yet, i usually just wait until the games are available for an emulator. but i really loved the idea with the alola gen 1 versions.

Yes, but the other thing is the storyline has been messed up pretty bad. There is no more gyms, no mega evo, no HMs.

I find it fun, but i much prefer the others.

I don't even know about HMs, but I've mostly heard positive reception to them being gone.

I think they were better. in sun and moon you ride pokemon to break boulders and stuff right?
In all the other games you had to find and collect HMs which gave you moves to break stuff.

I started playing Pokemon when HGSS came out and my first game was Soul Silver. I have played at least one version from all the mainstream games since which has made Pokemon one of my greatest passions. Moon for me certainly wasn't a let down, and I have enjoyed a lot about it. I was sick of playing every game and repeating the same format over and over again (not counting the variations in the story, region, etc.). Generation 7 was experimental, yes, and not a whole deal was changed but I liked what they did. It was pretty easy but fun, and the graphics, especially the Alola Region, were done brilliantly. I also really liked some of the new Pokemon they introduced. I think that the whole concept of the trials should remain with Sun and Moon and Pokemon should continue to experiment with new mechanics and story formats for future games. Overall Moon was a great game and I enjoyed it a lot.

And for those curious, my favourite games were the Black and White series. Loved the story, and the games were actually quite a challenge!

Alright, I wanna here about people's most impressive playthroughs of Pokemon games, or anything significant that happened to them in-game. I have two of them, both from playing platinum.

First - I beat the entire game with only two Pokemon, with very little trouble along the way. It was a piplup/prinplup/empoleon as my starter, and a starly/staravia/staraptor that I caught before the first gym. With just those two, you have an advantage in every single gym and elite four member except for Sunyshore and Snowpoint.
Second - In platinum, I caught a buizel and traded it for a chatot in Eterna City. I put the chatot in the daycare and forgot about it. Taking my time through the game, I got to the Elite Four a while later, and before going, I had stopped at the daycare and realized it was still there. It was level 76 and I swept nearly the entire elite four with just it using "chatter"

I have completed fire red, with a full team of lvl 100 pokemon, filled my boxes and such.
In alpha sapphire and omega ruby I have got a full team of lvl 100, beaten elite four twice, captured all the legendarys, beaten all the challengers on the islands, and set a score of 56 at battle resort.
