Suggest a featured track!

Can I please ask why https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/331689-chain-of-memories was featured? This is no doubt a good track, but I think it's a bit too short and a bit rough. If stuff like this gets featured, I'm sure stuff like this https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/292022-basaprei-copses is worthy. I'm not pointing any fingers, I'm just curious.

The problem with the current featured track list is that it is now very subjective to just one person's opinion on what makes a track featured, rather than 5 or so. This creates a very inconsistent list, which is what the list needs more than anything else.
I have no problem with this this track being featured, nor with Ishu's, nor with some of Wyatt's and Wave's. However, before people start listing off old tracks that should or shouldnt make the list, I feel as though the FTM's need to create a new 'guidelines to featuring' so that there is no disparity between what makes the list and what doesnt. In the long run, it will mean less badgering of mods and, imo, a more active and easier-to-reach list- which is what (I believe) the mods and Char wanted by allowing tracks on the list by dint of one mod, rather than five.

 

I agree. To hav a track featured it should be put to a vote by the feat tracks mods

 

That makes sense. I was just frustrated that whoever featured Vickong's track didn't seen to follow the featured guidelines I was familiar with (from Maple's thread) when featuring it.

We really need to stop judging featured tracks on other featured tracks. Stig thought that chain of memories was good enough for a feature so thats how it will be. I trust his judgement, and so should you guys. I trust all the FTM judgements.

I do agree but stiil Mirror is a better track my opinion. Since its probably not going to be featured I do respect the decision though.

 

In my opinion it is better too. But I still think that if the feat mods think it good enough they can do that
