Steven is found dead with broken glass around him. He is also covered in water. There is no physical damage to the body. A train passed by a few seconds ago. How did Steven die?

 

He drowned

Steven got messed up in a nuclear reactor Waylan Smithers senior style, before getting flushed down in to a body disposal chute, filled with water (and floating dead rats), which lead to some train tracks were someone was smashing glass.

Steven is a fish, and the train going by shook the room knocking his fish tank down (Hence the broken glass).

Steve has had a very long and rough month. He has taken it bad and has been using some drugs. It probably was not wise of him to take MDMA and to consume an unhealthy dose of alcohol at the same time. As he wandered down the tracks in the middle of the night holding big bottle of whiskey, a train flew by shattering the bottle that he was holding out, out of his hand it hundreds of pieces. Steven was not hit obviously, but he was startled and thus lost his balance and fell to the ground. The shattered glass surrounded him from where the bottle smashed. While he was on the ground, he passed out permanently. Steven had overdosed. The reason for him being soaked was that it was a rainy night and the following day was filled and cloudy making it take longer for things to dry.
