Like fishing has taken over a great game made by highly skilled developers, that put a lot of time into this amazing PC/Mobile game.

      Definition of Like Fishing:
asking for likes to get popular, usually asking for likes for RIDICULOUS reasons.

If you are one of those people that NEEDS likes for a loved one that has passed, or that is suffering, then we all know that you just want popularity.
Nobody, (few exceptions) would ever care more about a video game, then someone important in their lives. I think this is wrong, and most people support me on this.
      It needs to stop.
I respect this game highly, but if the game is just filled with unskilled players input on something, then I will not put up with those people anymore.
Some people out there actually put time into the game, and add very impressive work into tracks, maddest props to them.
But the people that spend their time fishing for likes?
Wow. Just shows that they don't actually care about the loved ones that they post about.

I have had my say on this, and we can have your input also. - Dryft

Alot of problems and no solutions; we can't just ban the average player for asking for a 'like', but trending is suffering harshly from an influx of these pathetic creations, with creativity getting smothered as a result. Unfortunately, authors like these will continue to appear, and I can only suggest downvoting their track immediately - so as to not put them in the spotlight of trending.

maybe we could use the same method of how featuring tracks works. if a track is OBVIOUSLY like-fishing, and lots of people agree, then the track is taken down.

You can't just down-vote a track because they're "like fishing", that is as bad as those people that down-vote tracks just because they're better then their own. I agree it's a really stupid problem but you can't go around destroying tracks that ask for a like, especially when I have seen a few tracks that aren't half bad. It's also a problem that doesn't have a simple solution. If you wanted to follow the line of what Steam said and remove the track after 'x' amount of people have dubbed it as "like fishing" you would have to refund them the coins it cost them to submit the track (if applicable) and send them an automated message telling them how they can republish their track again.

I mean if you really think about it detailing a track is just a way to get more likes.

The only solution I can come up with for this problem is to recruit a few very active track mods to delete like-fishing tracks and maybe make a system for flagging tracks like this.

ye tbh I'm pretty discouraged from making tracks, i put weeks of effort into most of my stuff and they barely get a fraction of the attention a 3 sec hold up gets with the title "10 likes for more"
      - not sure what would help besides some active mods putting worthy tracks into a new category, but that might create more argument over why certain tracks aren't in that section
i do have an idea but it would be a huge change, instead of allowing everyone to post tracks, maybe the track would have to pass certain requirements (judged by mods) before they are uploaded onto the website, it would be annoying to both creators and mods but i think id get used to having a day or two for my track to be uploaded but wtvr doesn't rilly matter

champian, i agree, i, myself have had some pretty bad experiences. The main reason people dislike your track, is because the trial is too "hard" for them. Those people are so annoying. You gotta show em whos boss then.:cool:

sorry but whats so bad about like fishing?
people still have their opinion about the track
something someone says wont change what someone thinks about their track

KillerMeemStar but the community is becoming toxic. Original community = very cheerful, supportive ; community now = full of unnessecary tracks, nice, and still supportive but full of noobs asking questions and tracks that get more attentions then the ones that actually need attention.

ok, then i suggest track uploading should be much more expensive. I mean, what's the point of paying 25 coins? I could upload 100s of tracks

not to solve like fishing.... but i think this would get rid of lots of unnecessary tracks
