I know we like to generalize and stereotype but people seem to overlook the fact that it's ISIS and radical islam we're up against, not the average muslim person.

Does islam make it easier to produce these kinds of people? From the looks of it, yes. There's some hateful aspects of the religion and I think it feeds into those who want to take things too far. Not to say other religions don't produce hateful people as well, but islam sure seems to be great at it.

Islam is a religion and it has this book called the Quran, now this book holds the beliefs and rules of Islam.
so no matter how peaceful Muslims may be, the book that teaches how they live does not teach them to be non-violent

If you truly read the Quran you would find just as many good things as bad, wanna know why? Bcos back thousands of years ago, EVERYTHING in there was considered moral and right. Times changed however and the book did not, that is how radical muslims come about

 

Very true, for instance, in the bible there are many things that would be psychotic in modern life but it was common practice back then. The was this thing that the Israelites practiced in the Old Testament called "the Ban" basically once you defeated an enemy you would murder everyone and all of the animals and burn the city. THATS JUST WHAT YOU DID BACK THEN. However, along came modern radical Islamists and decided that the violence in the Quran should be practiced today.

 

It turns out my girlfriend knows a classmate who was at the club when it was attacked (we live less than half an hour away), he didn't die and I don't think he was hit, but naturally he couldn't continue with the assignment they were working on that was due the next night. On top of that, her sister has a gay friend who I almost met a few weeks back who regularly goes to the club, I don't know what happened to him though but I doubt he was there at the time, or my girlfriend would've told me unless she doesn't know yet either.

Did i say the Quran didn't teach peace? well in fact it does in some places. But the problem is it very violent too and even if most Muslims do not follow the violence in it, Their religion is still teaching them to do so, sadly so the violence will continue from Muslims
