I would like to see what you guys have to say about this. The death toll has risen to fifty and the shooting took place in Pulse, a gay night club in Orlando, Florida last night. More info here as the story develops:
    http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/12/us/orlando-nightclub-shooting/
I know not all of us live here in the states so I'd like to see some international opinions and discussion on this.
Personally I find it disgusting and can't see how someone could do such a thing, and then I found out it was a gay night club and realized it was even worse than I anticipated.

What I personally find most saddening about the situation is that there is an urgent need for blood, and gay people are prohibited from donating blood to help. Only makes matters more horrible.

To me it doesn't seem very coincidental considering the upcoming elections. This is going to make trump the next president.
One might speculate on this theory and that theory, but i for once believe that "especially", alot of conservative politicians/funders could do this to the people for their own profit. Funny how they were gay too.

Conspiracy theory or not, it's sad, and the consequences will make it even more sad.

Add; shep, gays cant give blood due to the fact that alot are carriers of hepatitis and hiv.

Me and my friend have been keeping up on this together over skype while distracting ourselves by watching euro, and we've both come to the same conclusion. We find the attack absolutely disgusting and terrible, but the people who blame this on things such as Islam (because the shooter happened to be a Muslim) or democrats (because the shooter was a registered democrat) or even the LGBT community (which is something I cannot even begin to comprehend) disgust me more. I've cried 2 or 3 times already since this happened because we've been reading some horrific, dehumanizing things, and I'm pretty sure he's cried as well.
    I don't understand people sometimes.

We Now Live in a Very Unsafe Country. The Law Enforcement is No Help, They can't be there in time to be any help. The Flashing Lights and the Sirens 20 Minutes Late, Will Not Help You. :(
If A Couple of Those guys in That Night Club Had Guns, They Very Well Could Have Saved Many Many Lives, and a Hell of a Lot of Heartbreak. :(

Law enforcement was no help? They stopped him before his killing spree could reach the triple digits...you have to understand that he was in a crowded building with an automatic rifle. He wasn't shooting a pistol, he was holding a trigger down and unleashing hundreds of rounds into a lot of people in a very short amount of time. Without law enforcement, he very well could have killed most of the people in the club before a lucky citizen could have stopped him.

It's a shame about what happened to those who died, but you can't expect Minority Report-like performance from law enforcement.

Yeah there's some conspiracy stuff possible but in all honesty I think it really comes down to the fact that people are just so homophobic and self absorbed that they could do such a thing. It's mental.
What I find craziest is that when I first found out about what happened, the source completely omitted the fact that the victims were gay. It's more of a hate crime than anything and the fact that people overlooked that just downplayed the seriousness of the situation tenfold. Really sad.
Straight people can have hiv and hep as well. The law was first enacted when it was considered the 'gay disease' but at this point I dont see why you wouldnt even bother testing the damn blood, which they do anyways. If the blood is good, keep it. If it's not, toss it. It's just plain discriminatory and this situation amplifies that fact. It's a waste of blood.
The sad truth is that this will probably all be forgotten about within a few months and nothing will be done in the area of gun control and gay rights as a result. I've seen it so many times that I doubt it'll be any different this time. It's really sad.
And this is why I don't get the whole 'pour more guns on the problem' mindset. NO. Law enforcement did a great job here but the people complaining that concealed carry could've prevented it are plain stupid. He literally exterminated 50 people and injured 53 within a matter of how long? He had a lot of power with that automatic and no civilian could've stopped it. With a simple youtube turorial you can turn your gun into a killing machine and it's plain scary how many guns are out there in this nation right now.

i meant that they can't offer help on time in a situation at that so we as the people must act

STDs such as hepatitis and aids are primarily transferred through the rectal canal, or directly through blood. Those diseases rarely transfer through what is considered "normal" heterosexual intercourse. It is almost exclusive to gays, or people who use syringes for whatever reason (often drugaddicts).

If my conspiracy theory is wrong, i find it bs that the father claims that there are no religious reasons behind it. Ofc there is, eventho he doesnt support middle-eastern terror organizations, theres no denying that most all muslims hate homosexuality. Why would he get pissed off from 2 guys kissing in the first place if it wasnt a religious thing.

And i believe the whole fight everything with guns mentality that tp shows, is why the statistics are so much more negative in every way in the us, compared to other western countries.
Who tf would go into a nightclub, or even to public places, knowing that everyone can carry a gun. And how do you imagine simple daily conflicts would end up when they escalate a little? Americans arent the smartest to begin with, and god knows none of them are good at solving conflicts lol.
Ur police solves any serious conflict by exclusively killing the suspect. If a policeman here were threatened on his life, the suspect would be shot in the thigh or stomach, which rarely leads to death when treated asap. I believe there's atleast 10-20 years since any person were killed by a cop in my country, and equally since a cop was killed. The criterias for buying a semi-automatic or automatic gun here are as close to impossible, and importing one is equally difficult. I believe that if usa had the same gun politics as norway, you would have saved hundreds to thousands of american lives a year.

Stig nonetheless, not all gays have such sideases. It's discriminatory and wasteful, and not to mention that plentiful straight people do indeed have it, despite whatever evidence supports it being a 'purely gay' issue. It's more than just that and I don't see why all gays are the target when it's only those affected that make this an issue. It should be more of an hiv-aids issue than a gay issue.

Anyone who tries to blame this act of blind hatred from a mentally unstable person on a broad group, ESPECIALLY to advance their own agenda, is something that i dont like

Yeah in all honesty it was way more of a hate crime than it was a terror group. it was a lone-wolf incident and isis claimed they didn't have anything to do with it even though the guy was supposedly a supporter. I think lots of people (eg. Donald Trump) are overlooking the fact that this is a blatant act of homophobia. The fact that Trump hasn't addressed that yet infuriates me. Focus on what we DO know, not what we don't. Perhaps we should focus more on the crime and how to stop homophobic assault like this than focusing on what was wrong with the guy, because it's pretty damn obvious he just had some issues and thought it was a good idea to open fire on a meeting place for LGBT people.

Lmaoooo sounds like a good guy.
Supposedly the shooter was 'extremely enraged' after seeing two men kiss in public two weeks earlier and thus decided to do what he did.

Sounds like a nice family if you ask me :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Muslims hate gay people and their religion says that all must be killed, so this will continue to happen as long as there is gay and Islamic people in the same country

you didn't know Islam was against homosexuality?
and for how damn illegal it is to murder people here in the United States it sure happens a lot... so mostly likely it will continue and only get worse
