Too much riders are getting official

I do notice that people sometimes will quit free rider if they do not get the official author, which i think is little absurd. Such as freerider5 i like him being around. When i got official Char i made a HORRIBLE TRACK. I finally realize that you are not taking official author seriously, you should be a little more sturn on who gets official, because then pretty soon the people that are making copies of tracks will get official author. I agree with spruce 's idea, that we should have a official author team who can decide. Official Authors should only be people who can make at least 10 good tracks, not featured tracks because getting one of those is a little complex for new users who want to be official. I rest my case official author should be more harder to get then how easy it already is. We can now adjourn to recess, come on kids!

it'd be cool to make an official author contest, where everyone makes a track, and some people rate it (like in the remix contest) and everyone over a certain rating gets official.

 

If you have a sub count lead the way to Official Author, what happens if people un-sub to you? Does the badge get taken away?
Also, people would be sub maniacs, making track saying "All I want in life is to be official author (please sub to me)" That would be a problem.

idk, i am working on a track that i actually want to spend time on. i would hate to lose official author.

 

The whole concept of getting official author is to recognized for your artwork, and/or the effort you put in to making tracks for the community. Honestly, the cost to upload a track is nothing. It is only 25 coins for one track. If you play 5 tracks a day, you get enough coins to upload once a day. I think that the standard should be less defined, much like the standard for featured tracks isn't very defined anymore. There should be a panel of staff and official authors (like 5 people) who vote on official author applications. If atleast 4 of them say yes, then the person is accepted. I don't think it should be automated though.

 

Um I am the only one who should be allowed to have a giant x as their profile picture for these reasons.

1. Seniority
2. I had it first
3. Mine looks cooler
4. Mine incorporates the entirety of the name
5. United states dismantled the USSR freeing estonia and all of eastern europe
6. My name shows a deeper understanding of the game and the elements required to build tracks
7. My name also references a historical event significant to the United States who once again freed estonia

Yes the reasons did get quite long and ridiculous but everyone knows that there can only be one giant x profile picture. I will allow an x in your profile picture but it must be much smaller, aprox. half the size of the current one and in a crappy font like comic sans.

 

Heyy wait a second, let me do what i want, okay. This is not only my FRHD profile picture, but i also use it on soundcloud where i make songs too. Basically, this is my soundcloud profile picture i'm using in FRHD so shut up yourself

 

But it is also my steam profile which matters much more than sound cloud so i win again
