WORST SpongeBob episodes ever.

Tell me all the horrible SpongeBob SquarePants you've seen.

My least favorited was Are You Happy Now. It was about Squidward not remembering his "happiest memory", so he becomes depressed for an ungodly long time. Then this is where we come to the ~controversial~ scenes. Squidward says that he can't seem to become happy, followed by him putting his head in an oven. It did look at that point he was going to gas himself, but it turns out he was just pulling out brownies. So, not one, but TWO of these. Squidward then steps on a stool carrying a rope with a noose tie on it. He proceeds to say "I can't seem to get happy. Maybe this will help." in which he hangs up a birdcage.
Because, you know, freaking SUICIDE is a kid's favorite topic. Yes, Zeus Cervas (the #1 worst writer in history), Yes. I'm staring at YOU. I personally think that Zeus Cervas or Casey Alexandria came across "Red Mist" but then tried to make it an ascended meme, along with a "kid friendly" version. So, Nick decides that it's a good idea to freaking GREENLIGHT the episode. Yes. They just passed it on to air.

One Coarse Meal sucks too. It might even be WORSE. Just because similar reasons. It's when Mr. Krack finds out that Plankton is afraid of whales, so he takes advantage of his daughter Pearl to literally torture and depress the crap out of the poor guy for 16 days.
After that, Plankton goes to sleep, and then has the absolute worst nightmare. It's that he's being chased by a monstrous looking Pearl, and then swallows him following him being burned by gastric acid.

Oh, you think that's bad?

Let's just take a look at this next sequence.
Plankton goes into the road while saying "What's the point of going on. I'll just be tortured by that whale for the rest of my life! *falls into street* Well, I give up. the 4:15 bus should be here any minute now."
Well, yeah, I WISH I was kidding.

 

Remember the House Fancy episode?
Remember the Squidwards toe scene?
I shiver every time I think about it.

 

remember the first pisode? and the second? and the third? and the fourth? and the fi- know what, do you remember all the episodes? that is my nomination...

Hehehe suicide is just a funny matter when it comes to shows that children watch... wait what kids watch cartoons anymore? they're all busy watching John McClain kick some ass in a movie rated for people that are twice there age... terrible parents XD

 

oh watching... um.. uh... stuff that 100 years ago could get you lynched in the southern USA... what is the world coming to?...

 

These are supposed to have strange, hidden meanings. If you wanted a show purely for children, it would have to be written by children, rather than adults. I don't think any of the episodes are that bad, it's very clever that the writers are able to leave subtle messages within the episode and still have enjoyable content for kids to watch.

 

I don't care for a lot of the new ones, mainly 2009ish and up
But honestly the first few seasons were the best and have my favorites

I don't know anyone my age who doesn't like SpongeBob, I'm about to turn 20.

 

You live in a city or are Canadian aren't you.

 

The show started in 1999, at that time I was 2 years old. 20 year olds today would have been 6, so it makes perfect sense that they grew up watching this show

 

SPongebob before he was HD is cool.
P.s. on a side note, I know a lot of people almost 30 who love spongebob.
