I enjoy Ender's Game but i also really like the others in the series, especially some of the authors notes, they are a good read.
I read Eragon at least 12 times, my first copy broke at around 10 so I had to buy a new copy.

There are quite a few great book series i like reading but ima mention The Owbernewtyn Chronicles because i love the world that Isobelle Carmody creates, not to mention it took her more than 30 years to write the series.
p.s. The Little Prince and Arabian Nights are nice little stories as well.

I recently read the giver; it was an interesting book but I didn't like the ending. It would've been much better if it had an ending that made more sense

Everyone complains about the ending but honestly I feel it wasn't horrible. Definitely could've benefitted from some more closure like a hello from someone at the door of the house or a simple quote to finish it off. It was clear what happened but still very annoying as to how loose it was left for interpretation.

      I really liked The Giver.
Don't read 1984, it is so confusing and misleading, not to mention that it's plot revolves around to characters having sex to revolt against a utopian society. . .

Have you read the rest of the series? That is why the book ends weird, its not until book 4 that everything begins to make sense.
