Of course if everything in Scandinavia is covered in a layer of soft snow, and everyone is wearing 16 layers, the life expectancy will longer, its like going around tied to pillows!

Yep, great idea in theory! But the problem is that labor unions and lack of a whole, committed workforce outside of illegal immigrants make it virtually impossible to do manufacturing efficiently and profitably in the states. Thats why we need to abolish unions, lower minimum wage, and grant legal status to the illegals in this country.

The figures dont lie, the US has the highest GDP and is climbing steadily. Id love to say that Norway is better, make my grandpa proud, but in terms of global economy the US trumps all with good old fashioned capitalist principals

Socialism may work great for a country built off socialist principles, but for a capitalist country like the USA its no use........my grandpa came to this country from Norway looking for work. The USA hasnt tapped into their oil supply yet, and when we do it will leave norway so far in the dust they wont know what to say

Thank you for bringing up the debt, as i was planning to speak of that next. Our Debt before the Iraq war: $3,000,000,000,000 debt after the Iraq war $5,000,000,000,000. Debt after we have had a black liberal president in office for 7 years. $19,000,000,000,000.

I can tell you our president does NOT share my ideas. Here are my ideas in a nutshell: abolish social security, funding for every social program and make them private donations only, make a flat tax of say.......20%. Remove nearly all government workers. Just let corperations run the country....say apple, boeing, coca-cola......all the big companies could buy shares. Let the country be run by people who know what they are doing, not by every old american

 

Neither side seems to be able to prove their points effectively, so I'll just bring up new issue altogether!
Global warming/climate change- what could/should nations do about it? And if you happen to be one of those who does not believe in global warming, please feel free to provide evidence supporting your cause.
