My parents did read me the bible at a young age though, and read it through 2x before i was able to read for myself. I was taught how to interpret the scriptures, and found that quoting the holy scriptures is the most powerful thing you can do. The name of christ brings in strength and protection, and contact a responsible person who knows the word of god if you are in need of help.

That's great that you find protection in religion. However, as stated in our constitution, the church and state must be kept seperate. No religion should be an influence to our government, as everyone is free to believe what they want.
