Well I'm not driving quite yet (getting a car of my own next year) but my preference will likely turn out to be something compact, inexpensive, and appealing. Design is a huge aspect when I look at cars and I feel like a lot of the newer models lack in that area. I may get a honda fit or a civic to start as they're good on gas and you can find some cheaper used ones around here.

Well the gas has dropped dramatically lately but it's always above $3 and has been way higher before just a few months ago

Only once. We hit up the LA area (too many cities to count) some areas in the Mojave and then we drove up to SF and hung around Marin / the bay area for a bit before flying back. We don't really have a lot of money so we tend to not go too far. I've only taken like three airplanes before and every time we had to save for ages to be able to afford the cost. My dad and his girlfriend have a bit more money and tend to travel a lot but they don't always take me and my older sister with us.

I haven't left the country yet but I just got my passport and am planning on visiting Ontario (maybe Alberta if I can afford a flight), the Yucatan peninsula, and likely Lithuania some time soon because I'd like to leave my continent and I have soviet heritage based in that area. I'll be visiting Hong Kong and Guilin, China in two years too, but that's being payed for by my grandparents as a graduation gift.

I'm a huge geography / exploration kinda dude but sadly I don't have the cash or a car to really explore too much yet. I'd like to see a lot of the world before it's too late.

I like geography...its pretty cool. Yep, well my parents got there first car for $1,800 so there is always hope!

Lol I'm not asking for any pity, but yeah I wish it were a bit easier for us to travel because it's something I'm really interested in.

We'd be rich anywhere else but the amount of money we make is nothing in NYC. It's way too expensive here. We could buy a much larger house and live comfortably anywhere else, but we're kinda struggling rn.
So idk where you'd put us on the scale because we're middle class but by NYC terms we're poor, lol
