    Because before they found the site, the devs made accounts titled 'their names' and then when they joined they just made a new account. But as you can see WM just got his account back.

    They did that to me too, I just went through the email process. If you try to register with a classic author account, it gives you instructions on proving it's really you so you can get the account.
    Why make a new account when you intend on claiming your classic account?
